Karen has moved on to Nova Chemicals in Calgary, Canada, but was
involved in experimental design and direction, development of
experimental automation and data analysis software, design of data
analysis algorithms, data acquisition, and student mentoring. She
worked on a two-dimensional rotating granular drum experiment to
extract velocity fields using a temporal cross-correlation technique
we developed for dense granular flows and determine velocity
distributions using particle tracking techniques.
