We studied the acoustic response of two-dimensional crystals with particles of two different masses. We modified the distribution of two masses to create a special bi-section frequency band structure in the crystal and utilized it to design a three-port acoustic switch for a given frequency. We sent the single-frequency signal to one input particle and measured the gain at another output particle. The gain could be accurately controlled by changing the size of a third particle.
